Q Station Community Day, Quarantine Connections
The past is never past but alive in our present. Connecting the stories of its compelling history to today’s heritage site, Q Station’s next open day, Quarantine Connections will bring the site alive through a program of free tours and activities.
Historical tours filled with intriguing stories of those who have experienced ‘Quarantine Life’ will capture your imagination.
Our ‘Connect the Past with the Present’ tour will explore the route between Q Station’s entrance and the Wharf Precinct. Discover the stories behind the sandstone inscriptions which cover the sandstone cliffs in the Wharf Precinct, enjoy an opportunity to see inside our Moveable Heritage Store in the ‘History then Heritage’ tour or explore the heritage Wharf buildings in ‘The Quarantine Process’ tour.
Our Visitor Centre and Quarantine exhibition will be open, as will the Wharf Cafe and Boilerhouse Restaurant.
Add in kids’ activities and a kids’ ‘Skip through Quarantine’ tour and you have a perfect day for the whole family.
Booking will be available for all tours through the Q Station website in early May.
