Pre-1931 Autumn Tour for all pre-1931 vehicles

A range of pre 1931 Veteran and Vintage vehicles will be on view to the public and also participating in a number of road trips. The rally headquarters and meeting place for participants will be at Dundullimal Homestead, an 1840s National Trust building and oldest sophisticated slab house in Australia.

Visitors will be driving their vintage vehicles from across Australia to take part in this event and have their car on show to the public.

Enjoy fascinating talks and tours of the heritage-listed Dundullimal Homestead, gripping night tours of Old Dubbo Gaol built in 1847 and take part in a visit to Narromine Aviation Museum where flying began in 1919. The museum houses artefacts, documents and photographs telling the story of aviation and world wars. It also houses a replica of the Wright Flyer built by local skilled workers which had its first flight in 2005, an event attended by Buzz Aldrin of the 1969 moon landing fame.

This weekend is an exciting step back in time for not only history buffs or vintage car fanatics, but anyone with an interest in visiting a regional area. Dubbo is steeped in history with many sites that are heritage-listed. There are many opportunities after the rally to visit Taronga Western Plains Zoo and the recently opened Royal Flying Doctor Experience showing the history of the RFDS and its founder John Flynn in 1928.
