Pioneer Palaces of Rhyll

Guided bus tours (1 morning and 1 afternoon) of the nine remaining historical cottages of Rhyll where the stories of the original residents will be shared with the participants. Morning or afternoon tea will be provided.

Bought back by popular demand, the Bass Coast Branch of the National Trust in partnership with the Phillip Island district Historical Society and supported by the Bass Coast Shire Council will be holding two guided bus tours of the nine remaining historical cottages of Rhyll. There will be a choice of morning or afternoon tours on offer with the morning commencing at 9am and the afternoon starting at 1pm.

Both starting at the historic Rhyll Mechanics Hall Lock Road Rhyll (Melway map 733 B1). Both tours are expected to run for about 3 hours and include refreshments at one of the cottages. In accordance with this year’s Heritage Festival theme “Shared Stories” the stories of the original residents of these cottages will be shared with the participants.

The date is Saturday 29th of April and the cost of the tour including morning or afternoon tea is $35 or $25 for National Trust or Historical Society members.
