Paddington Library – sparking curiosity for 130 years

On the 130th anniversary of Paddington Library, join City Historian Dr Lisa Murray and Woollahra's Local History Staff for a talk which will examine the history of the Library service and the changes it has seen across 130 years.

In May 1892, the aldermen of Paddington Council showed their progressive thinking in opening a library within the newly-built Paddington Town Hall. In many ways, the story of Paddington Library reflects the story of Paddington the place. This talk will examine the history of the Paddington Library and its community.
