Oral History Focus Day

Oral histories record stories for generations to come. At Connor's Mill and Drummond House - Toodyay Environment & History Centre, the value of oral histories is showcased via apiarist Sam Cook's recorded stories and informal chat sessions encouraging local folk to share their own memories.

Oral History Focus Day: Saturday 29th April 2023

Come and take a seat at the Shire of Toodyay’s Connor’s Mill Museum on Stirling Terrace, Toodyay, next to the Visitor Centre. Listen to apiarist Sam Cook’s voice extolling the intricacies of creating honey in the Coondle and Julimar localities, while enjoying the beekeeping display. Open 9am to 3pm.

Come and take a seat at Drummond House – Toodyay Environment & History Centre on 108b Stirling Terrace, Toodyay, next to the Bendigo Bank. Chat with the Toodyay Historical Society’s experienced oral historians about how easy it is to record your own story for future generations. Open 9am to 4pm.
