Old Fashioned Fun Day at Wilkinson Homestead Museum

Bring the family to the Wilkinson Homestead Museum for a fun morning learning about how people lived, worked and played in the old days. Take a picture in the photo booth wearing old fashioned clothing, learn how people once did their laundry or watch a butter and scone making demonstration.

Bring your family to the Wilkinson Homestead Museum on Saturday 8 May, from 10am to 12pm, and find out what it was like to live in Gosnells a hundred years ago. There will be activities and demonstrations to suit all members of the family, especially the younger ones. Children will be able to experience a lesson in the school room as it was in the early 1900s – completely with a grumpy teacher! Demonstrations of everyday household tasks will make everyone appreciate modern appliances and conveniences. Take home a photo of your children wearing old fashioned clothing, along with a peg doll kit and a new appreciation of how families used to live. You are welcome to bring a picnic to enjoy in the Museum grounds afterwards!
