This exhibition features the works of finalists in the Walkley Awards for Excellence in Photojournalism, which recognise the work of photographers across a range of genres, from news and sport to portraiture and photographic essays. The exhibition lets us reflect on the previous year in news, through the individual worldviews and skilled camerawork of Australia’s best photographers.

The Walkley Awards are the highest honours in Australian journalism, celebrating excellence across all media. Since 1956, when the first Walkleys were presented in five categories, the awards have grown to 30 categories, including documentary film, non-fiction books, and of course, Press Photographer of the Year, which is presented with Nikon. The Exhibition runs from 18 Feb to 30 April.
