Mother’s Day Tiny Tots Storytime

Bring your tiny tot to the Ruth Faulkner Public Library to discover the wonderful, wild world of motherhood past and present through stories, songs, dress-ups and crafts.

The little ones will enjoy hearing two stories, Peepo and Harriet, You’ll Drive Me Wild! The readings will be followed by a simple craft activity, where kids will make a colourful handprint flower card for their mums for Mother’s Day.

Museum staff will give a short talk on the roles of mothers in history, help facilitate the craft activities and answer any questions. A morning tea for mums and kids will also be served.

This series of special storytime sessions tie in with the exhibition on motherhood, A Mother’s Voice: Stories of Parenting in Belmont which the Museum is running as part of the Australian Heritage Festival. Refer separate listing for A Mother’s Voice: Stories of Parenting in Belmont.
