Mothers Day at Dundullimal – High Tea and Music

Revisit the elegance and charm of days gone by, and enjoy a relaxing afternoon of fine music and high tea at Dubbo’s historic Dundullimal Homestead. Featuring flute, clarinet, strings and piano from Macquarie Conservatorium, plus a delicious high tea served on vintage china.

Why not do something very special for your mother this year? Revisit the elegance and charm of days gone by, and enjoy a relaxing afternoon of fine music and high tea at Dubbo’s historic National Trust property, Dundullimal Homestead.

The High Tea revives afternoon tea and concert performances from Dundullimal’s past. In 1927, the local Dubbo Liberal & Macquarie Advocate noted, ‘Afternoon tea was served in the well-known hospitable fashion associated with the name of Dundullimal. Afterwards Mrs. W.H. Palmer provided a delightful musical programme, and a musical competition originated and compiled by herself.’ 

In 2017, we feature a program of performances for flute, clarinet, strings and piano by students and staff from Macquarie Conservatorium  curated by Director of the Conservatorium, Ms. Vivienne Winther, plus a delicious high tea served on vintage china presented in the well-known hospitable fashion of today’s Dundullimal.
