Ronda is a passionate family historian; she is also a collector with an abiding interest in unpacking the historical and social context of the many intriguing objects she finds. In this talk, she will open her “cabinet of curious” looking at numerous objects given as expressions of love, affection and esteem across the ages including an antipodean sailor’s love letters, a convict token or two, some right royal jewels and a rather surprising Governor’s gift!
