Living Life by the Whistle

This afternoon event will celebrate the installation of a replica of the whistle which ruled the lives of the timber mill workers and town residents at Donnelly River Mill, in south-west WA.

Visitors can see the unveiling of a specially-made whistle which replicates the exact sound of the steam-driven mill whistle which could be heard each day around the mill township in the mid 20th century.

The ceremony will be followed by an opportunity to visit the Donnelly museum, which is housed in the old school building.
