Laser cut printmaking: from the archives 16+yrs
Use images from the City of Sydney Archives to create a laser-cut printing plate and print your image on our printing press!
Led by experienced facilitators in the Darling Square Library makerspace, this workshop is a great introduction to laser-cut printmaking and the City of Sydney Archives.
You’ll be guided through how to access historical images from the City Archives to make a laser-cut etching plate. Once you’re happy with your final design, we’ll help you print it on our small press. You’ll receive your etching and print during the class or by mail after the class.
This event is offered as part of the Australian Heritage Festival 2024. The theme for the festival is ‘Connections.’ Take this opportunity to connect with the City Archives’ vast collection of historical images. Then connect with your creativity to produce a masterpiece!
