Ku-ring-gai Heritage Festival

Ku-ring-gai Council presents a program of free and ticketed events for the Australian Heritage Festival which explores the rich history of Ku-ring-gai and celebrates our Indigenous, natural, built and cultural heritage.

In 2024, the Ku-ring-gai Heritage Festival returns for its 4th year of celebrations the whole community can enjoy.

The Festival aims to provide the community with an understanding of the rich history of Ku-ring-gai, developing a deeper connection to the area. Our built environment and our unique natural surroundings provide a vital link to our past and offer a vision for our future.

Along with Council the festival is supported by community organisations and businesses. The event program will be hosted during the Australian Heritage Festival in partnership with the National Trust.

The Festival will include a series of enriching and interesting, free and ticketed events including digital photographic displays, open homes, historical talks, walking tours, readings, art workshop and fashion exhibitions from our festival partners.
