Children’s art at Ahimsa

Bring your children to this fantastic free event which combines a stunning bush walk, learning about the inspiring Marie Byles and creating artwork influenced by what they've learnt with us.

Ahimsa is the former home of Marie Byles, the first female practising solicitor in NSW, advocate for the rights of women and children, and prominent environmentalist. Marie bequeathed her bushland property to the National Trust to protect it in perpetuity.

On Sunday 28 April 2019 (final weekend of school holidays) ‘Children’s art at Ahimsa’ provides a rare opportunity for children of primary school age to experience the natural charm of Ahimsa and its unique history and bushland setting. Children will enjoy participating in nature-inspired art and short walks in an intimate natural environment guided by artists.
