History Matters: Introduction to preserving family history collections

Do you have a family history collection at home? Individuals, families and community groups hold a significant amount of cultural heritage material. In this talk, Ainslee shows you how you can preserve your family history collection at home, from safe storage to disaster recovery.

Dr Ainslee Meredith is a Local History Technician at the Stonnington History Centre. She holds a PhD in cultural materials conservation from the University of Melbourne. She has worked with national, state and community archives. Ainslee will show you how to care for paper and photographic materials, artworks, objects and digital collections.
