Heritage Discovery Walk – Cabra-Vale Tour

Join us on a guided tour of Cabra-Vale (Cabramatta and Canley Vale) to uncover the fascinating history behind each of these suburbs. Discover parks, heritage sites and colourful Daoist temples along the way... A visit to Canley Vale is a timeless experience for first timers!

Venture on a walking tour with the Heritage team and discover the history, architecture and hidden treasures of Canley Vale Town centre and beyond.

The tour will commence at Whitlam Library, 165 Railway Parade, Cabramatta at 10:00 am. We will visit CabraVale Memorial Park, Tien Hau Temple, Canley Vale Railway Viaduck and Railway Station, Kwan Yin Temple, Orphan School Creek, and Westacott Cottage. The tour will conclude at the Canley Vale Railway Station where participants can then stroll down the main street and sample the local cuisine!

Please arrive on time for registration.

We recommend that you wear comfortable shoes as the walk is well over three hours in duration.

Please wear sunscreen and a hat (for sunny days) or an umbrella and wet weather gear (for rainy days). Bring a bottle of water and some snacks (optional).

The walk is suitable for adult and families with children, aged 10 years and over. All children must be accompanied and supervised by a parent/carer. This walk requires a basic level of fitness, it is conducted on mostly on wide pavements so a reasonable level of mobility is required.
