Everglades Garden Guides & Heritage House Tours

Everglades House & Garden tours. Be guided around the Historic art deco house and marvel at the Paul Sorensen designed Heritage gardens overlooking the World Heritage listed Blue Mountains National Park.

Everglades is usually open to the public throughout the year for self guided tours of the art deco House & Gardens. These tours will provide visitors the opportunity to delve a little deeper into the history of this Heritage property and see the place through the eyes of people who are committed to its preservation for future generations. The gardens were designed and landscaped by one of Australia’s Master Gardeners Paul Sorensen and are a beautiful example of “Inter War gardens”.
Created in the 1930’s the 5.5 Hectare gardens were literally carved into the side of a hill and terraced with thousands of meters of dry stone walls.
The House is art deco in design and set in a position within the lower gardens where it commands a spectacular view out into the World Heritage listed Blue Mountains National Park. The bathrooms and stairwell are highlights and a “must see” for devotees of the art deco era.
