From Then Until Now in the Whitehorse Area

Join us for the Official Opening of the new Interpretive Panels in the Schwerkolt Cottage Museum that share the stories of the Whitehorse area. There will also be an opportunity for you to explore the museum and complex and enjoy afternoon tea.

Be among the first to see 12 new interpretive panels in the Schwerkolt Cottage Museum illustrating the stories, history and people of the Whitehorse area. The panels provide a journey through time from First Nations People to the early settlers (specifically the Schwerkolt family and farm) and how the area was transformed by farming and industry into the vibrant and multicultural city we know today. A newly developed brochure summarising the stories from the display will also be provided to all attendees on the day. Following the official opening you will be treated to a delicious afternoon tea in the Local History Room.
