From Guildford to Gallipoli: Giving a voice to two ANZACs
You are invited to hear the story of two ANZACs who fought at Gallipoli, told in their own words through letters and postcards sent home to their family.
Gresley and Wilfred Harper grew up in this gracious home on the banks of the Swan River. Becoming accomplished horsemen, the brothers enlisted in the 10th Light Horse at the outbreak of WWI. Their letters and postcards home detailed their journey to, and experiences of, Gallipoli. Their words are used to tell their story in a moving one-hour presentation.
This event is held in Gresley and Wilfred’s childhood home, Woodbridge, which you can tour after the illustrated presentation.
West Midland was renamed, Woodbridge, to celebrate the significance of this property. Bookings essential.
