Frocks at the ‘Nock’ and Kurri Kurri Couture (exhibition)

From smart casual to extravaganza overload, fabulous frocks to chic couture join us as we celebrate fashion and style across our Local Government Area. We’re holding this exhibition as part of the Australian Heritage Festival and also coincide with Australian Fashion Week.

Regional towns are no slackers in the fashion stakes, despite what our Big City cousins might think. In the Hunter Valley the city of Cessnock and the nearby town of Kurri Kurri have had their own dress shops, fashion accessory outlets and stylish shoe shops for decades. During the Australian Heritage Festival we explore frocks at the ‘Nock’ and Kurri Kurri couture. Cessnock is often nicknamed the ‘Nock’ and we’ve taken that name and run with it. This exhibition, in the Cessnock Library foyer, celebrates fashion and style from smart casual to extravaganza overload. Too many frocks is never enough!
