Feisty Females Walk

Much has been written & spoken of the men of Parramatta who influenced Australian history. Sadly less is known of the women who did likewise.

Join us on this intriguing walk through Parramatta Park and nearby locations to satisfy your curiosity about some of the amazing women of influence who have called Parramatta home. Discover the skilled linguist who aided negotiations between the Baramadagal people and the settlers, the dairy maid who stood up to a prince, the dutiful daughter who faced up to an insurrection, the women who ran major colonial institutions, the first Aboriginal to successfully demand land rights and the nurse who saved countless lives.

Bookings are essential. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to start time, for registration. Wear comfortable shoes. Bring water, snack and a hat.
