Benalla Migrant Camp Exhibition

Experience the stories of Benalla Migrant Camp residents 1949-1967 through their personal photos, stories and items.

The keepers of the ‘Benalla Experiment’ story are ready to share it with you. Visitors to our exhibition at the State Heritage listed Benalla Migrant Camp site will be fascinated by the photos, items and stories contributed by former residents.

Spend one hour at least for both the exhibition and a short and easy self-guided walk across the site. View the photographs, chat to the exhibition curator and to former camp residents. Let a sense of the realities of migration after World War II and a significant time in Victoria’s migration history capture your imagination.

Sunday only a guided walk will be available, commencing at 3pm for approximately one hour.
