Edward Macarthur

A talk about Edward Macarthur

As a baby, Edward Macarthur arrived on the 2nd fleet with his parents and had a distinguished military career, including becoming Acting Governor of the infant colony of Victoria.
He preferred this career to becoming a farmer in NSW, even though he inherited the Elizabeth Farm estate, including Hambledon Cottage.

Come and learn more about Edward Macarthur with this interesting talk from the Parramatta & District Historical Society.
