Curious about Churchill Island? Join A Guided Tour of the Garden and House

Churchill Island offers a tranquil setting to explore the beautiful gardens, historic Amess House and farming precinct on this majestic little island located off the coast of Phillip Island. Curious to find out more? Come join us for a guided tour of the garden, house and farm demonstrations.

Join our horticulturalist, museum curator and volunteer guides for a tour and talks as we uncover the history of our magnificent heritage gardens and Amess House. From ancient moonah trees to the planting of the Norfolk Island Pine in 1872 through to the island as a place of conservation. The tour will also include demonstrations by our farming officers of the age-old art of blacksmithing, a fascinating look at sheep shearing and a discussion of the history of agriculture.
