Collecting cookery booklets

Most of us collect something; cookery booklets are a record of social history, design, women's work, food technology & fashion and more. Some collectors make a national contribution. Richard Overell, a rare books' librarian, talks about a private collection donated to the State Library of Victoria.

Richard will present a 40 minute lecture, with plenty of scope for interruption and questions, about these delightful records of domestic life.

This is in the setting of one of The Ephemera Society’s twice yearly fairs. There will be more than 40 stalls of all types of ephemera (paper records of everyday life).
