Children’s Day at Bonegilla Migrant Experience

A special day of fun and discovery, families will get a taste of the migrant experiences that helped to shape modern Australia when they attend Children’s Day at Bonegilla Migrant Experience on Sunday, April 21.

Families are invited to step back in time during Children’s Day at Bonegilla Migrant Experience to experience the ways in which migrants shaped modern Australia.

A special day of fun and discovery, children and their families can participate in hands-on craft and food demonstrations, and engage in activities and games that reflect the creative pursuits of thousands of new arrivals who came through the camp.

Children will gain first-hand knowledge of migrant journeys through Bonegilla and beyond by taking part in stories and activities to help them understand the way in which migrants helped to create our cultural heritage.

Anyone feeling adventurous can collect an explorer’s pack from the Welcome Centre to find even more stories.

Stay a little longer, bring a picnic lunch to enjoy on the historic grounds of Bonegilla Migrant Experience.
