Castles, Costumes and the Auditor General all by the Sea

Visit Historic Black Rock House and learn the history of its owners and visitors of yesteryear. Learn about past original owner Charles Hotson Ebden and his work as a pastoralist. Visits from Governor La Trobe, William Wills, past owner Sir Peter MacCallum plus many other interesting characters.

The house will be open for costumed guided tours with the cellar, stables and servants quarters all on show with interesting fun facts about the house, it’s owners and its history of visitors.

Tamar’s tearoom will be open for delicious Devonshire Tea along with seating on the deck facing the stables. Live music will be played on the front verandah so we suggest you BYO picnic rug to sit on the front manicured lawns. There will be games for the kids such as quoits and croquet.
