Caring for Keepsakes: conservation tips for family mementos

Join Historical Services staff for simple conservation tips to preserve precious heirlooms, and become a confident caretaker of your family legacy.

Join Stanton Library’s Historical Services Librarian and Curator to learn basic conservation techniques used by libraries, museums and archives which can be applied to family heirlooms stored at home, including photographs, books and special garments, such as christening gowns and wedding dresses. You will have the opportunity to handle objects rarely seen on display. This workshop will be held at the North Sydney Heritage Centre at Stanton Library.
