Bursting at the Seams
The 1866 Singleton Mechanic's Institute is home to a variety of Arts and Crafts Groups, Family History and Community Groups. The building celebrates 150 years since its foundation stone was place and on July 8th 150 years since it was official opened by the then Hon. Henry Parkes.
Groups will be ‘on show’ and demonstrating their skills. This includes Artists, Textile Artists, Potters, Family Historians, Quilters and more. Visitors can wander throughout the building at their leisure during the day. A historic tour of the building will commence at 11pm and 1pm for those interested in more detail of the building.
