Bridgetown Art & Craft Centre Open Days

Learn new skills at the Bridgetown Art & Craft Centre where there will be exhibitions and hands on demonstrations. Listen to stories of how the heritage arts and crafts follow the principles of recycling, sustainability and invention. Refreshments available for gold coin donation.

What’s old is new again in the art and craft scene. Macrame, crochet and knitting are still as popular as they were in times gone by. The Bridgetown Art & Craft Centre welcome you to their open days to celebrate the heritage of spinning, tatting (vintage lace), Tunisian crochet, macramé weaving on a loom, and more. Come and learn from the experts and listen to the stories of how the heritage arts and crafts follow the principles of recycling, sustainability and invention. Learn how to knit your own pair of socks or how to make a scourer from onion bags. There will be exhibitions, displays, demonstrations and products for sale. Tea, coffee and other refreshments will be available for a gold coin donation. All ages welcome.
