Biodiversity + Geodiversity + Cultural heritage = Ku-ring-gai GeoRegion Talk & Luncheon

Visitors are invited to attend a talk and presentation that explains the geological history of Ku-ring-gai. Learn about Friends of Ku-ring-gai Environment's (FOKE) Ku-ring-gai GeoRegion project.

Guest speaker Dr Peter Mitchell OAM former Associate Professor and Head of Department of Physical Geography at Macquarie University will talk about FOKE’s exciting proposal to identify and interpret a GeoRegion across the northern suburbs including Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park. This fascinating geological project aims to ‘sign post’ the natural and cultural heritage of Ku-ring-gai. Dr Mitchell will explain why this Ku-ring-gai GeoRegion project presents ‘no threats’ but instead is, in fact, a ‘good idea’.

Following Dr Peter Mitchell’s talk is an invitation to join Ku-ring-gai Environment (FOKE) for a luncheon at the Roseville Club’s Bistro (at own cost).
