Bathurst Heritage Trades Trail

Celebrate over 200 years of Australian rare trades and crafts at the Bathurst Heritage Trades Trail. Bathurst will celebrate over 200 years of its rich history, paying homage to the trades and traditions that have helped shape the region, at the Bathurst Heritage Trades Trail.

Rare and lost trades and crafts will be showcased over one weekend at Australia’s oldest inland European settlement. Blacksmithing, saddlery, dry stone walling, whip cracking and making, glass artistry, lace making, tapestry, embroidery, carpentry and joinery, cigar box guitar making and violin making are among many unique talents to be demonstrated by local and guest artisans.

The Bathurst Heritage Trades Trail offers visitors from near and far a cultural and educational experience. The two-day event will allow the community to visit the Bathurst Agriculture Research Station and Bathurst Showground, two of Bathurst’s most historic venues, and visit more 60 artisans practising their rare trades.

* Get your tickets early and save! $15 online or $20 at the gate. Children 16 years and under free. Please note: ticket cost includes entry for both days.
