ANZAC Museum Program
This schools program was created in response to a local school student wanting an ANZAC Day experience. It examines many aspects of a soldier's experiences of war and investigates how the community remembers the fallen, in all wars, but particularly World Wars I and II.
Come investigate Wanneroo Regional Museum’s ANZAC commemoration program for Years 1 to 4.
Students can pose for photos in WWI costume, take a ‘Where’s Wally’ style look at the famous Cheops photograph, put together a Roll of Honour for the Wanneroo fallen of WWI and II or pretend to be a soldier in training in Egypt and create a postcard to send to the folks back home. Kids can also investigate the uniform and equipment of a 10th Light Horseman and listen to the thrilling story of WWI Australian Army Nursing Sr. Anne Donnell and museum objects associated with her story.
