Aboriginal Family History Session
Want to learn more about Aboriginal family history resources? Join staff from the Storylines program at the J S Battye Library of West Australian History.
Discover key resources and the Storylines online platform that provides learning and access to heritage collections including photos, oral histories, videos and genealogical information. This session will provide Aboriginal clients with an opportunity to learn about and use Storylines with assistance from State Library staff. See demonstrations of how to access State Library resources related to Aboriginal family history and how to use Trove to search for newspapers and more. Staff will provide advice on the types of relevant collections held by other organisations and the best ways to access them. Learn some basic search skills and information literacy.
This is a great opportunity to talk with other Aboriginal people researching their family histories.
