Come on a 3.3km easy, flat scenic walk that starts via Carrack Road Kincumber near the Shipbuilders Memorial Sculpture on the waterfront. The sculpture of stainless steel and hardwood that extends out over the Broadwater is by renowned sculpture John Woulfe. The walk is within the area of the four villages of Kincumber, Yattalunga, Saratoga and Davistown which was the hub of major shipbuilding activity from the 1820s to the 1950s. Experience this historic area and fascinating maritime history, viewing the historic models, dioramas and information displayed along the walk.
Purchase your 4 Villages Passport between 8.00 am to 1.30pm and includes a Q&A form. At the 4 ‘Border Stations’ get your passport stamped and in each of the historical display marquees, find the answers to easy questions to be in the draw for prizes. Davistown waterfront there‚Äôs entertainment, music, displays, food, history ferry tours. A Free shuttle bus including runs between Kincumber and Davistown waterfronts.
