The Old Melbourne Gaol is a venue that really stirs the senses and get your guests talking.

Winner of Australian and Victorian Tourism Awards.

Constructed in the mid 1800’s and located in central Melbourne the Old Melbourne Gaol was built of blue stone and still contains the original cells. In those cells some of Melbourne’s most notorious criminals were held including the infamous bushranger Ned Kelly.

One of Australia’s most fascinating tourist attractions, the gaol can transform through lighting into an unexpected and unique setting in the heart of Melbourne.

The Gaol is centrally located and can host large numbers and cater for a variety of corporate and private functions.

We provide great entertainment value and can enliven your evening with a private tour of the Gaol. We even provide entertainment highlights with guest appearances from historic characters such as Ned Kelly and gaol governors to roaming police sergeants.

Why not take a ghost tour with our guides and hear their many dark stories behind Melbourne’s most fascinating heritage site. Catering packages, lighting and settings are available from Showtime Event Group on 03 9682 1777.

The Old Melbourne Gaol is located at 377 Russell Street Melbourne 3000 VIC.
